The National Alumni Association honors Alabama State University's proud alumni tradition while keeping the association active, connected, and future-focused.
The National Alumni Association, Incorporated, of Alabama State University was established by graduates in the early 1960s — then called the General Alumni Association. Its objective was simple and remains unchanged: organize alumni to support the university, its students, and each other.
Today the NAA is a 501(c)(3) with chapters across four regions and a virtual community — funding scholarships, recruiting students, and carrying Hornet pride into every city where alumni land.
Graduates establish the General Alumni Association.
Chapters charter across Alabama, then follow alumni north and west — Detroit, Chicago, DC, Los Angeles.
50 chapters, four regions + virtual, and a national scholarship program sending students to the Yard.
A new digital home — this platform — connecting every member, every chapter, and every future Hornet.
The NAA is led by elected national officers, four regional vice presidents, and the presidents of 50 chapters.

Plus regional directors and representatives for all four regions. Bylaws, board minutes, and past presidents live in the member portal's document library.
Questions about membership, chapters, Life membership, or chartering a new chapter — send a note and the right officer will follow up.
